Parrhinotermes sp2

The Parrhinotermes genus termites are among the smallest termites of this location. Most species of this genus have workers of around 3 millimeters. They are closely related to Schedorhinotermes but are much smaller with monomorphic soldiers and also lacking the pungent smell of Schedorhinotermes. With some species having soldiers below 3 millimeters they are smaller than some of the smallest termites of the Nasutitermitinae sub family. Of the termites of this location only Labritermes has workers that are smaller.

There are the occasion workers that are smaller (i.e. the head) but this isnot consistently observed to indication dimorphism.
