Nylanderia sp

Nylanderia sp(2) is a typical species of this genus where the most of the known species measuring between around 2.5 mm to around 3 mm.

Unlike it's more infamous "cousin" the black crazy ant Paratrechina longicornis, Nylanderia are burrowing ants whereas Paratrechina longicornis is a surface (or sub surface) ant that does not do much digging and nest in hollows chambers under rocks, fallen branches, etc..
