Termes Rostratus. This species builts nest of wood and excretment usually from the base of trees stretching all the way up the trunk. Of the three Termes species that are common in this location, Termes rostratus is the smallest and Termes laticornis the largest.

Variation in Termes rostratus. In this species also identified as Termes rostratus we see a slight difference within the supposedly same species recorded above. Both are about the same size but the frontal projection of this second species is much more pronounced. It may be the first species (above) is Termes propinquus but my reference material were of little help to distinguish it from Termes rostratus.

Nest of Termes rostratus on the trunk of a tree. Like Termes comis, Termes rostratus typically build its nest at the base of a tree whether dead or alive. Termes rostratus nest are very much larger than those of Termes comis.
Termes comis looks almost similar to Termes rostratus but are larger.
This second species supposedly of Termes comis is slightly different from the one above. Again the frontal projection is more pronounced.
