Mesoponera sp

With the redefinition of the Pachycondyla genus (2014 C.E.). This mid size species now belongs to the Mesoponera genus. Similar with most species of this genus, this species are mostly subterranean rarely coming out of its tunneling during the day. The above ground forays are usually at night.

The workers measured at around 10 millimeters (also the queen).
