Crematogaster inflata

Crematogaster also known as acrobat ants is another gemus commonly found throughout this location. Most of the these are arboreal ants nesting in the slit, hollow and grooves of trees with a few weaving nest with leaves and ant's silk. Some are semi arboreal nesting in the ground as in trees either in a certain phase of their colony development or simultaneously. Crematogaster are medium size to tiny ants with most species around 2 to 3 millimeters in size (TL).

Many species of this genus are monomorphic while some are polymorphic.

Crematogaster inflata is easily differentiate from the other species of this genus by its distinct enlarged yellow colored metapleural glands.
