Of the Monomorium genus, Monomorium pharaonis is the most common, followed by Monomorium destructor (senior synonym Trichomyrmex destructor). Monomorium floricola is also a very commonly found species.
Typical of the Monomorium genus Monomorium floricola like Monomorium pharaonis are monomorphic and polygynous.
