Pachycondyla sp(34) is of the Pachycondyla astuta. Typical of this genus P. astuta is monomorphic. Atypical of the genus, P. astuta is mostly an above ground forager. P. astuta is slightly larger than the very common Odontoponera transversa and without close examination might be mistaken for it.
