This is a large Ectomomyrmex species with workers typically measuring 14 to 15 millimeters. The queen is just slightly larger at over 16 mm. This can be said to be a larger version or variant of Ectomomyrmex astuta which measured around 12 millimeters, as it resembles (from a macro perspective) Ectomomyrmex astuta.
